This is a 3D-printed resin set for experienced modelers, not a standalone model. The package contains four Mk.83 bombs with the BSU-35 retarding tail unit in 1:48 scale. They serve as faithful external stores for models of modern combat aircraft.
The Mk.83 is a standard general-purpose aerial bomb of the nominal 1000 pound class, used by the US Navy, the US Air Force and a number of allies. The BSU-35 tail unit is an aerodynamic stabilizer that allows a stable release from greater altitudes. Bombs of this type are carried by modern aircraft such as the F/A-18, the F-15E, the F-16 and the F-35.
Separate the parts carefully from the print supports, wash the print resin residue off them and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Protect your airways while sanding. The bombs come into their own once painted and given their stencils; before hanging them, check how they sit on the pylons of your particular model.
This is an accessory set for a plastic kit, not a standalone model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
