A resin accessory with replacement wheels for the Northrop T-38C Talon supersonic trainer in 1:48 scale. It is not an airplane kit, but a set of replacement parts. The wheels have a sharp tread pattern, cleanly cast hubs and a cast weighted effect, a slight flattening of the tire as though the weight of the machine were standing on it.
The T-38 Talon is a long-serving American supersonic trainer, and the T-38C version brought upgraded avionics. The wheels are among the visible details of the landing gear and their fidelity shows well on a finished model.
Separate the parts from the casting blocks, wash the mold release agent off them and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Because of the weighted effect, watch the rotation when gluing so that the flattened contact patch stands on the ground. Paint the hub and the rubber separately for a clean transition, and the tire can be lightly dusted with a pigment.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
