Eduard 1:48 P-40E/K landing flaps - photo-etched set is a photo-etched detail set of lowered landing flaps for a model of the Curtiss P-40E/K fighter in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched brass set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard in 1:48 scale. It is not a model but a modeling accessory: parts for a faithful rendering of the landing flaps in the lowered position including the inner structure. Lowered flaps give the model a lively and dynamic look.
The Curtiss P-40 was an American single-engine fighter of the Second World War, also known under the names Warhawk and Kittyhawk. The P-40E and P-40K versions were among the heavily armed forms used on many fronts and famous, for instance, with the Flying Tigers unit.
Separate the photo-etched brass parts carefully from the fret with a sharp knife, form the bends on a bending tool or against a ruler and glue them with cyanoacrylate. Before gluing, clean the surfaces and roughen them slightly for a better grip. Assemble the flaps only once the bay in the wing has been cleaned up; match the angle of lowering to real photographs.
This is a photo-etched detail set, not a model. The kit itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
