This product is a detail accessory set, not a model in its own right. It is a 3D-printed replacement propeller for the kit of the PZL M18 Dromader agricultural aircraft in 1:48 scale from IBG. 3D printing makes it possible to capture faithfully the thin section of the blades, the sharp edges and the fine detail of the hub that injection-molded plastic often cannot manage. The set serves to raise the realism of one of the most conspicuous areas of a finished model.
The PZL M18 Dromader is a Polish single-engine agricultural and firefighting aircraft with a characteristically sturdy fuselage and a large tank for spraying or for a firefighting load. It is powered by a radial engine with a large propeller, and in service it can be met all over the world dusting fields and fighting forest fires. The large propeller is one of its visually striking features.
Separate the parts carefully from the supports, sand the surfaces with respiratory protection and wash off any print resin residue before gluing. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Apply a primer before painting; the propeller blades tend to be dark with warning stripes at the tips, which can be brought out with masking and an airbrush.
