An aftermarket set of two 3D-printed resin UB machine guns in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft model but a precise accessory that replaces the simplified plastic weapons in a kit. 3D printing gives sharp detail on the barrel, the cooling and the mechanism.
The UB (Universalny Berezina) was a Soviet heavy aircraft machine gun of 12.7 mm caliber designed by Berezin, widely used during the Second World War. It was built in several installation variants, among them fixed and flexible (turret) mountings, and became the main defensive and offensive weapon of a whole range of Soviet aircraft.
Separate the parts from the print supports, wash them and degrease them. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Sand with respiratory protection. After spraying primer, bring out the metal surfaces with a shade of oxidized steel and support the recesses and the mechanism with a fine wash.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The glue and the paints are not included in the package.
