An accessory set for a model of the Fw 190D-9 fighter in 1:72 scale, offered under the designation Expert Set.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Fw 190D-9 is a late version of the Focke-Wulf Fw 190 fighter. You will recognize it at a glance by its extended nose and longer fuselage with an enlarged vertical tail surface; among modelers it has become known as the Dora. Compared with the earlier short-nosed versions it looks more slender, and it is exactly that silhouette that made it one of the most popular subjects of the late war.
The set is intended for a model of the Fw 190D-9 in 1:72 scale and it carries the designation Expert Set. Accessory sets raise the level of detail where a kit only suggests the shapes, and they replace them with finer work. In 1:72 scale that means working with small parts, where good light, a sharp blade and tweezers with a fine tip pay off. The scope of the set and the recommended order of the steps are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The parts are not polystyrene and an ordinary cement for plastic has no effect on them; use super glue. Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a short distance from the part and sand the rest carefully. Wash and degrease the parts before painting, otherwise the paint holds badly. Dry-fit every part first: in this scale even a thin layer of glue or paint is enough to stop a joint closing. Prepare the small parts over a surface where you will find them if they fall.
For modelers who build the Fw 190D-9 in 1:72 scale and want to push the detail beyond the kit. It is an accessory for a kit you already own; have paints and glue ready separately, unless stated otherwise.
