RAF Camouflage Beige (Hemp) BS381C/389 is an AK interactive acrylic paint from the 3rd generation aircraft range. The camouflage beige known as Hemp, listed under the British standard BS 381C as number 389.
Responsibility details are not available.
A bottled, water-thinnable acrylic paint for aircraft models. The shade called Hemp is a beige of reduced saturation, used in British schemes where a machine had to blend with the sky and with the ground at the same time. On a model it usually spreads across large areas of the fuselage and the wings and is often completed with the grays of the same range.
For builders of British aircraft in the later schemes and for anyone looking for a muted beige defined by a standard number rather than by guesswork. It is a water-thinnable acrylic. The maker lists a shade of the same name in its lacquer range too, but that one has its own thinner and a different chemistry, so the bottles are not interchangeable.
Shake before working. Spray in a ventilated space and with respiratory protection, keep the bottle closed, away from frost and out of the reach of children.
