Color printed cockpit elements for the British Hawker Tempest Mk.II fighter in 1:48 scale, prepared for the Eduard kit. The part is dipped briefly in lukewarm water and slid off the backing paper.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Hawker Tempest Mk.II differs from the other versions of the type in its powerplant. Instead of a liquid-cooled engine it received the air-cooled radial Bristol Centaurus, thanks to which it has a short, wide nose with no radiator under the fuselage. The production machines reached service only at the very end of the war and spent the main part of their career after it.
Color cockpit elements produced by 3D printing and carried on backing decal paper. The relief and the coloring are finished at the factory, so the instrument panel, the side consoles and the seat harness gain a depth that is hard to reach by hand painting at this scale. The set is prepared for the Eduard kit. On this type the cockpit is clearly visible even when closed, so a well-worked interior will not stay hidden.
The elements have no adhesive layer of their own. The cut-out part is soaked in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and slid off the backing decal paper into place, where gloss varnish holds it. Do not use a decal softener or a decal fixer, as they would attack the printed resin.
The package holds the color cockpit elements. The kit, the paints and the glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
