Royal Navy aircraft of the Second World War III 1:700 is a set of miniature plastic models of shipboard aircraft meant to complete models of warships, from Flyhawk.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set in 1:700 scale holds miniature plastic models of shipboard and floatplane aircraft of the Royal Navy of the Second World War period. It is not a model of an aircraft in its own right but an accessory meant to populate the decks and catapults of warship models. It is the third part of a series from Flyhawk, with fine detail matching the small scale.
During the war the Fleet Air Arm used a range of shipboard and reconnaissance aircraft, from torpedo and bombing types to fighters and floatplanes launched by catapult from surface ships. Faithful miniatures of these machines complete the atmosphere of dioramas and of models of carriers and battleships.
Given the small scale it is advisable to separate and clean the parts up carefully under a magnifier. The small surfaces are best painted while still on the sprue. Glue the wings and floats precisely, ideally with super glue. Apply the fine decals, or paint the roundels, with a light touch so that the detail is not lost. The models come out well on the deck of a ship model.
The set serves as an accessory for ship models. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
