8 cm schwerer Granatwerfer 34 auf Panzerspahwagen AMR 35(f) is a plastic kit of the German captured self-propelled mortar version of the French tank in 1:72 scale from the maker First to Fight.
Responsibility details are not available.
This plastic kit from the maker First to Fight captures an unusual German captured vehicle in 1:72 scale. It is a conversion of the French AMR 35 light tank into a self-propelled carrier for the 8 cm heavy mortar. First to Fight kits are conceived as easy to build, so they will please collectors and beginning modelers too.
The French AMR 35 light reconnaissance tank fell into German hands after 1940. In 1943 and 1944 a small series of conversions was produced in which the turret and the superstructure were removed and an 8 cm Granatwerfer 34 heavy mortar was mounted on the hull in an open armored cab. These improvised self-propelled guns were deployed among other places during the fighting in Normandy.
Use thin cement on the plastic, and paint the running gear and the interior of the cab before finishing. German late-war camouflage and a strong patina of mud and dust that emphasizes the improvised field character of the vehicle suit it well.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
