A clear canopy for a model of the A-1H Skyraider aircraft in 1:72 scale, as a replacement for the part from a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The A-1H Skyraider was an American carrier-based ground-attack aircraft with a piston engine. It came about at the very close of the Second World War and lasted unusually long in service, so it took part in the fighting in Korea as well as in Vietnam. It was valued for the long time it could spend over the battlefield and for the heavy load of armament on its pylons, thanks to which it supported ground units and escorted rescue helicopters. The single-seat A-1H version is among the late machines of the series.
A clear canopy in 1:72 scale as a replacement for the part from a kit. You will use it when you want the cockpit open and want to show the interior, or when the original part is damaged or lost. Which kit the canopy is cut for should be checked in the manufacturer's instructions and by a dry test.
Take the clear part by the edges, as fingerprints are hard to remove from a glossy surface. Try the fit dry first and make up any play by carefully sanding the mating surfaces of the fuselage, not of the canopy. For gluing, use an adhesive intended for clear parts or a low-fume super glue; ordinary cement for kits may fog the surface. Mask the frames before spraying and apply the paint in thin coats, so that no step appears at the edge of the mask.
The kit, paints, masking material and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
