Resin (3D-printed) AIM-4D Falcon missiles with launch rails (4 pcs) in 1:72 scale for experienced modelers — external stores for the F-4D/E, not a model in its own right.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a resin (3D-printed) set for experienced modelers, not a model in its own right. The package holds four AIM-4D Falcon missiles together with launch rails for the F-4D/E Phantom in 1:72 scale. It is precisely the launch rails that set this set apart from the version with the missiles alone.
The AIM-4 Falcon was the first operational American air-to-air guided missile, introduced in the 1950s. The AIM-4D version was a lightened variant with an infrared (heat-seeking) head for fighting other fighters. On F-4D Phantoms the missiles were hung on launch rails, which are part of this set and allow the stores to be hung faithfully and in the right position.
At the small 1:72 scale, work with a sharp knife and tweezers. Separate the parts carefully from the print supports, wash the print resin residue off them and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways while sanding. Seat the missiles on the rails and check the fit on your particular model before hanging them.
This is an add-on set for a plastic kit, not a model in its own right. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
