This kit in 1:72 scale captures the twin-engine Antonov An-32 turboprop transport aircraft. It is an injection-molded plastic model from Amodel with clear parts for the cabin and a decal sheet. The model has a higher part count; as with short-run production we recommend trying the fit of the parts as you go and cleaning them up before gluing.
The An-32 is a twin-engine high-wing airplane with turboprop engines mounted above the wing, developed for operating in hot climates and from high-altitude airfields. It grew out of the design of a lighter Antonov transport and stands out for its high performance, its cargo ramp and its ability to operate from short and unpaved runways. It is used for military and civil transport of cargo and people.
With a short-run kit, patience pays off: clean up the parting lines, remove any flash and keep trying the fit as you go. Finish the interior and the cockpit before closing the fuselage. Use a primer and an airbrush; the large areas of transport schemes come out well over a smooth base.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
