An injection-molded plastic model of the American AV-8B Harrier II attack aircraft in service with the US Marine Corps (USMC), in 1:72 scale from the Japanese brand Hasegawa. The model has finely engraved panel lines, a well detailed cockpit and clear parts for the canopy glazing.
The AV-8B Harrier II is a single-seat attack aircraft capable of vertical or short take-off and landing thanks to the vectored thrust of its single jet engine. It follows on from the British Harrier concept, and in the form for the US Marine Corps it served for close air support of ground units. Thanks to its ability to operate from small decks and forward sites it became a typical asset of amphibious and expeditionary forces.
Assemble and paint the cockpit and the interior before you glue the fuselage together. Fit the clear glazing last and protect the areas around the cockpit with a mask while spraying. Glue the plastic parts with liquid modeling cement for plastic, and fill and sand the joints. Lay down a primer before painting and spray the covering colors with an airbrush in thin coats. Paint the external stores and the armament separately and fit them last.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
