A color three-dimensional interior for the Bristol Beaufort Mk.I kit in 1:72 scale from Airfix. It gives the instrument panels and side panels depth and color.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Bristol Beaufort was a British twin-engine torpedo bomber that in the Second World War worked mainly over the sea. It was powered by a pair of radial engines, the crew was several strong and the machine carried a rotating gun turret on the top of the fuselage. The canopy glazing is long and very open, so more of the inside of a model can be seen than one would expect, even at 1:72.
The set brings a color three-dimensional interior shaped for the Airfix Beaufort kit. The parts of the instrument panel, the side panels and other areas of the cockpit are formed in relief and colored in advance. That does away with brush-painting the small instruments, which is difficult at this scale.
First spray the cockpit surfaces with a base color and let it cure; the surface must be smooth, clean and degreased. Work from the large panels to the small parts and try the position dry while the fuselage halves are still apart. The exact method of application follows the manufacturer's instructions enclosed with the set. They also give the way the parts are fixed, that is how they are released from the carrier layer and what holds them on the part.
The set will please a modeler who wants the cockpit finished quickly and yet faithfully, and who would rather not struggle with painting dials at a small scale. Working with it calls for tweezers, a sharp blade and a steady hand, but no special tools are needed.
The package holds this set only. The aircraft kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
