This resin detail set depicts the British unguided 3-inch rocket projectiles (RP-3) together with their launch rails, as the Bristol Beaufighter heavy fighter and attack aircraft carried them under the wings in the Second World War. It is not a model of an aircraft but supplementary external stores for models of the Beaufighter in 1:72.
During the war the British 3-inch rocket was among the weapons widely used against ground and naval targets alike; with it, the Beaufighter was a feared instrument of RAF Coastal Command.
Wash the resin parts free of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and bond them with super glue. Wear respiratory protection while sanding. Fit the rockets and the rails exactly according to the underwing attachment points.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. A model of the aircraft is not included in the package.
