The Xian H-6 is a Chinese twin-engine jet bomber derived from the Soviet Tupolev Tu-16, built under license by the Xian company. Besides the classic bomber role, special versions also appeared, including a tanker for aerial refueling fitted with hose-and-drogue pods. For decades the type formed the backbone of the strike and support capability of the People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) and Navy.
The long fuselage and the large wings need careful alignment and, where necessary, reinforced joints. Use liquid cement for plastic on the joints and finish the cockpit and the landing gear bays before you close the parts up. A base coat is recommended before spraying; the extensive plain surfaces come out best with an airbrush.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
