The F-35C Lightning II is the carrier version of the American combat aircraft, adapted for operations from aircraft carriers. It differs from the land-based version in its greater wing area with folding wingtips and in its equipment for deck landing. The cockpit is unconventional across the whole family: instead of a mass of small dials it is dominated by a single large display area, so the interior looks unusually clean and a faithful rendering matters all the more.
The contents are a cockpit for 1:72 scale in the basic version, supplemented by color 3D decals for the instrument section and the side consoles. The set is worked out for the Tamiya kit. The extent to which it replaces the original parts and the exact number of parts are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The parts are not polystyrene and cement for plastic kits has no effect on them. They are bonded with super glue, and on larger areas with epoxy. Cut off excess material and marks left by manufacture with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the surface down. Wash everything in lukewarm soapy water before painting and let it dry. In this scale a fine-pointed pair of tweezers and good light pay off. The procedure for applying the color 3D decals differs between lines, so follow the manufacturer's instructions.
