Plastic model of the F-4F Phantom II fighter of the Luftwaffe (JG 71 Richthofen) in 1:72 scale from the manufacturer Fine Molds — a limited edition of the modern F-4 tooling.
Responsibility details are not available.
A model of the American McDonnell Douglas F-4F Phantom II fighter in service with the Luftwaffe in the colors of the famous JG 71 Richthofen wing, 1:72 scale, from the Japanese manufacturer Fine Molds. It is a limited edition on the modern, finely engraved F-4 tooling with additional parts and decals for the Luftwaffe. A kit to be glued together and painted.
The F-4F was a lightened air-defense variant of the F-4E developed specifically for the Luftwaffe; Germany took 175 machines from the middle of the 1970s and later modernized them under the ICE program (AMRAAM capability). JG 71 Richthofen was the oldest and most famous fighter wing of the Luftwaffe (based at Wittmund) and operated the Phantoms until they were retired in 2013.
We recommend building the model in subassemblies and dry-fitting the parts before gluing. Paint the cockpit and the interior and pick them out with a wash, if you wish, before closing the fuselage. For the best result use good liquid cement for plastic, fine files and an airbrush after the primer coat. Apply the decals onto a gloss clear coat and seal them with a matte one.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
