1:72 Fighters Over Africa and the Mediterranean Pt.2

Fighters Over Africa and the Mediterranean Pt.2, 1:72 (Xtradecal)

Waterslide decals in 1:72 scale with further fighters deployed over North Africa and the Mediterranean in the Second World War. The second part of the themed series extends the choice of national insignia, squadron codes and personal markings of machines operating in desert and Mediterranean conditions, including tropical forms of RAF and Allied fighters.

The real subject

Service in the desert called for changes to the machines, such as dust filters and light camouflage. Fighters like the Hurricane and the Spitfire in tropical form carried the specific markings of the units operating over Libya, Tunisia and the Mediterranean. The sheet takes these period schemes into account.

Use

• Apply them over gloss varnish so that the decal does not silver.
• Release the part in lukewarm water and slide it onto the model.
• Press the decal into the engraved lines and onto curved surfaces with softener.
• Seal it with matte clear varnish.

Who the set is for

• Modelers of fighters of the African and Mediterranean theater in 1:72.
• Anyone interested in tropical camouflage and markings.
• Collectors following on from the first part of the series.

This is a stand-alone set of decals, not a kit. The model and the paints are not included in the package.
