A set of masking templates for spraying the glazed cockpit of a model of the two-seat jet trainer Gloster Meteor T.7 in 1:72 scale. The masks are cut precisely and follow the shape of the individual cockpit frames, so the framing gains sharp, straight edges with no laborious sticking of tape.

The real subject

The Gloster Meteor T.7 was the two-seat training derivative of the first British operational jet fighter. From the late 1940s it served as a conversion trainer with the Royal Air Force and with a number of foreign users, and it was marked by a lengthened forward fuselage for an instructor and a pupil in tandem.

Use

• stick the templates onto the cockpit glazing according to the enclosed diagram
• press the edges down so that paint does not creep under the mask
• spray the color of the frames, and once it has dried take the masks off carefully
• suitable for airbrush and spray can alike
