A sheet of waterslide decals in 1:72 scale for a model of the cannon-armed Hawker Hurricane Mk.IIc fighter. It is made by the Polish firm Techmod under part number 72073 and printed by offset. The manufacturer gives three options: machine BP592 with the code AK-G of No. 213 Squadron RAF in Egypt in 1942, the Turkish Hurricane HV608 from 1942, and an aircraft of No. 1 Squadron RAF with the code JX-E. It is not a kit, the decals add to or replace the sheet from a plastic kit.
The Mk.IIc was the cannon version of the British Hawker Hurricane fighter: in place of machine guns it carried four 20 mm Hispano cannons in the wing, and a Rolls-Royce Merlin XX engine drove it. Its sturdy structure and generous load-carrying ability made it useful above all as a night fighter, a ground-attack aircraft and a fighter for the Mediterranean and North Africa. It served with a number of Allied units and with export users.
Decals hold best on a gloss surface, so coat the area under them with a gloss varnish compatible with the paint you have used. Cut the motifs out one by one, dip them briefly in lukewarm water and slide them onto the model. Blot the surplus water away, settle the motif with a decal softener, and once it is dry seal the whole model with a matte or semi-gloss clear coat so that the edges of the film disappear.
This is an accessory for a model, not a kit. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
