The Hawker Hurricane was a British single-seat fighter that, together with the Spitfire, formed the backbone of the defense during the Battle of Britain. The Mk II version was powered by the more powerful Rolls-Royce Merlin XX engine and existed in several subvariants differing in armament — from machine gun versions to a variant with wing cannons. The rugged structure with a tube-frame fuselage made the Hurricane tough and easy to repair; besides air combat it also served as a fighter-bomber and in ground support on many fronts.
Even a simplified kit is worth test fitting dry first and cleaning up the parting lines. Glue with liquid cement for plastic, and glue the cockpit glazing carefully with canopy glue. Apply a primer before painting and lay the paints down with an airbrush; paint the cockpit interior before you close up the fuselage. Complete the typical British schemes (two-color camouflage on the upper surfaces, light underside) after the gloss clear coat and the decals with a wash into the panel lines and light wear.
