Decals for four Hawk jet trainers in service with the Royal Canadian Air Force and the Royal Australian Air Force. Among them an anniversary finish recalling a bomber squadron of the Second World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
The British two-seat Hawk became one of the most widespread advanced trainers in the world precisely because it behaves like a scaled-down combat fighter. On it a student learns to handle weapon systems, to fly in close formation and to work with radar without the seat of a more expensive machine having to be given up to training. The two foreign air forces on this sheet show two different ways such an aircraft can be used.
Of all four, the anniversary scheme is the most rewarding. Historic codes on a modern jet create a contrast that is visible at first glance in a display case, and at the same time it goes well with a model of a bomber of the same squadron if the builder wants to build a pair.
The thin film releases in lukewarm water and is transferred onto a smooth glossy surface. With the anniversary scheme it is a good idea to keep to the order: first the large areas of the codes, then the national insignia and finally the small lettering. The model of the aircraft is obtained separately; it is not in the package.
