This item is a decal set from Model Maker in 1:72 scale. It is not kits and not two models but a set of waterslide decals with the markings of the aircraft flown by the Czech fighter ace Josef Frantisek, the prewar Avia B.534 biplanes and Hawker Hurricane fighters. To use it you have to own the corresponding plastic kits in the same scale.

The real subject

Josef Frantisek is among the most successful Allied fighter pilots of the Battle of Britain. He served with No. 303 (Polish) Squadron of the RAF and in a short but exceptionally successful period in 1940 he achieved a string of victories, before he was killed in October of the same year. Before the war he flew Czechoslovak Avia B.534 machines and in the RAF the Hawker Hurricane Mk.I, and the set covers both types.

Use

• The decals are applied to a finished, clear coated and glossy surface of the model
• The motif is cut out, soaked, slid off the backing and worked into position
• A decal softener is recommended for settling onto a broken-up surface
• Once dry, the model is coated with a matte or semi-gloss clear coat
