Junkers Ju 87D-1/3 Combat and Captured 1:72 is a plastic kit of the legendary German dive bomber from Special Hobby, completed with photo-etched and 3D-printed parts and a generous set of decals for both combat and captured machines.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the famous Junkers Ju 87 Stuka dive bomber in the D-1/3 version, 1:72 scale. The package combines plastic parts with photo-etched elements and 3D-printed detail. The decal set is conceived on two levels of service: machines in Axis combat service and captured Stukas operated by the enemy in foreign colors.
The Ju 87D was a more powerful development version of the Stuka with a redesigned, aerodynamically cleaner fuselage and a stronger inverted V12 Junkers Jumo 211 engine. It was used from 1942 on the Eastern Front, in the Mediterranean and over North Africa. A number of machines fell into Allied hands undamaged and were flown and evaluated in British and American colors, which makes them an attractive and unusual subject to build.
Glue the plastic parts with a thin modeling cement for plastic and the photo-etched elements with cyanoacrylate. As with every short-run kit, it pays to dry-fit and sand the joints. Apply a gloss coat over the paint before the decals and a matte one once the work is finished. Prepare the interior colors and accessories according to the scheme you choose.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
