A set of four resin Mark 82 bombs with Mk.15 Snakeye retarding fins in 1:72 scale from the manufacturer Reskit, for making the ordnance of aircraft models more accurate.
Responsibility details are not available.
The detail set from the manufacturer Reskit contains four resin (3D printed) Mark 82 aerial bombs fitted with Mk.15 Snakeye retarding fins in 1:72 scale. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory of external stores with which you replace coarser plastic bombs or add ordnance to a model. A resin casting offers sharp detail of the surface as well as of the fins.
The Mark 82 is an American general-purpose low-drag aerial bomb belonging to the Mk.80 series. The Mk.15 Snakeye fins are retarding fins that open out after release, markedly increase the drag and slow the bomb down. They thus make a safe release from low altitude possible, where the attacking aircraft has time to get away from the place of the explosion. Mark 82 bombs were carried by a number of combat aircraft.
First wash the remains of the mold release agent off the parts, separate the casting blocks carefully and clean the cut surfaces up. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Protect your airways when sanding resin. Apply a primer before painting for better adhesion of the paint.
The set contains resin parts only. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
