An injection-molded plastic model of the Russian heavy interceptor MiG-31BM with hypersonic Kh-47M2 Kinzhal missiles from Trumpeter in 1:72 scale. The kit is supplied unassembled and unpainted; it is a classic plastic kit to be glued and sprayed. The package also includes the Kh-47M2 missiles as external stores. For the exact contents of the package and the schemes offered, follow the enclosed instructions and the markings on the box.
The MiG-31 (NATO code Foxhound) is a large two-seat interceptor developed from the MiG-25, capable of long flights at high speed. The modernized BM version brought a new radar, improved avionics and extended armament options. Combined with the Kh-47M2 Kinzhal air-launched ballistic missile, which the aircraft carries under the fuselage, it serves as the carrier of a fast long-range strike weapon.
Finish and spray the cockpit, the landing gear bays and the intakes before you close the large fuselage. Glue with liquid cement for plastic and sand the joints carefully. Metal surfaces and light camouflage come out well with an airbrush over a primer; fit and fine-tune the external Kh-47M2 missile only at the end. Spray a gloss coat under the decals and unify the surface with an overcoat at the end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
