About product

1:72 Notek lights (Firma49)

This set from the Czech maker Firma49 holds 3D printed resin lights of the Notek type in 1:72 scale. They were the standard blackout and convoy lights of the German army in the Second World War, fitted to armored and to truck vehicles. The set covers the front Notek lights and the rear convoy lights. It is not a kit but a fine accessory for superdetailing models in small scale.

Use

The lights replace the coarse plastic parts from a kit and give a vehicle a faithful period look even in small scale. The front Notek is typically fitted on the left fender and the rear convoy lights at the back of the vehicle.

Tips for working it

Cut the very small parts carefully off their supports and wash them free of mold release agent. Bond them with super glue, ideally with tweezers. The bodies are normally painted in the base color of the vehicle.

Who the set is for

  • Builders of German Second World War vehicles in 1:72
  • Modelers who want to replace coarse plastic lights with fine parts
  • Collectors looking for accurate period detail in small scale

The set holds resin accessories only. Paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
