HäT 1:72 Persian Light Cavalry is a set of twelve Persian light horsemen with four poses.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of plastic figures in 1:72 scale from HäT. The box holds twelve riders in four poses and horses in two poses. The figures are unpainted and the riders have to be seated in the saddle. The light horse rounds out the Persian medium and heavy cavalry and the infantry of the same range, so that together they make up a whole wing of an Achaemenid army.
The Persian light horse carried out the tasks for which the heavy cavalry was too slow: reconnaissance, harassing the enemy with missiles and pursuing a retreating foe. The riders fought with bow and javelin, wore no armor and relied on the speed of horses from the famous studs of the Median plains. It was the light horsemen who gave Alexander's army trouble on the march, when they fell on its supply columns.
Wash the plastic, dry it and spray it with a flexible primer. Persian dress will take deep color, and striped trousers and colored coats are attested for the period. Keep the horses to two shades so that the formation reads as a single troop. Glue the bows and quivers on only after painting. Seat the rider in the saddle once the horse is finished.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
