A turned metal pitot tube 1:72 for the F-4EJ/Kai Phantom II from FineMolds. An accurate brass replacement part that takes the place of the fragile plastic tube from the original kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This accessory from FineMolds is NOT a model but a fine turned metal (brass) detail for plastic models of the long-nosed F-4EJ/Kai Phantom II fighter in 1:72 scale. It replaces the plastic parts of the pitot tubes, that is the airspeed sensors, with more accurate and more durable metal.
A metal pitot tube on the nose and on the vertical tail gives a model the crispness and fineness that a plastic casting cannot achieve. With a metal part there is also no need to sand mold seams away, and it is considerably more resistant to breaking off than thin plastic.
The part is glued with cyanoacrylate glue. Degrease the metal lightly before gluing and spray it with primer so that the paint adheres better. We recommend fitting the tube at the very end of the build so that it is not damaged while the model is handled.
This is an accessory for a model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
