This injection-molded plastic kit from MiniArt captures the German Sturmgeschütz III assault gun in the Ausf. G version from Alkett production of April 1943, in 1:72 scale. Besides the plastic parts, the box contains photo-etched parts and a decal sheet with several marking options. The small scale makes the build easier and also makes it easier to place the vehicle in a smaller diorama.
The StuG III Ausf. G was the most widely produced version of the whole line of assault guns on the chassis of the Panzer III tank. A low silhouette, good armor and the 7.5 cm StuK 40 gun made it a universal means of supporting infantry and of destroying tanks. The version from the spring of 1943 carries the characteristic design features of that production period.
In 1:72 scale, handle the fine parts carefully and use liquid cement for plastic. Paint with an airbrush after applying primer; even a small model comes into its own with weathering using washes and pigments, which bring out the rivets, the welds and the dust and mud effects on the running gear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
