A resin and 3D-printed exhaust nozzle for the Soviet variable-geometry fighter MiG-23 in 1:72 scale from Reskit. This is not an aircraft model, but a detail accessory that replaces the simplified nozzle from the base kit with an accurate casting with detailed petals and internal structure. The set is designed for experienced modelers.
Jet engines have an intricate, adjustable nozzle at the exhaust, whose fine petals a plastic kit usually only suggests. The cast replacement captures the shape and depth of the nozzle and significantly improves the view of the finished model's tail; some variants are supplied in the open (parked) position. Check which base MiG-23 kit the part is shaped to fit.
Wash the parts to remove mold release residue, carefully separate them from the casting blocks and glue with cyanoacrylate glue. Protect your airways when sanding resin. Paint the inside of the nozzle in burnt-metal tones, ideally with an airbrush, and highlight it with a wash.
This is an accessory resin set, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
