This injection-molded plastic kit from UM in 1:72 scale represents the Soviet SU-76 light self-propelled gun. The set holds plastic parts for the hull and the open fighting compartment plus extra photo-etched parts for the fine detail.
The SU-76 was a Soviet light self-propelled gun built on a lengthened chassis derived from light tanks. It carried a 76.2 mm gun in an open fighting compartment and served for direct fire support of the infantry as well as for fighting armored targets. Thanks to its simple design and large-scale production it was among the most widespread Soviet self-propelled vehicles of the Second World War.
Assemble the running gear and the tracks before you close the hull. The open fighting compartment reveals the interior and the gun, so careful painting and weathering pay off. Use liquid cement on the plastic; we recommend a primer, an airbrush and bringing out the detail with washes and pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
