An injection-molded plastic kit of the postwar Soviet T-55 medium tank in 1:72 scale from PST. The kit builds the low hull with its characteristic hemispherical turret and 100 mm gun, holds multi-part tracks and is intended for modelers with experience of small-scale equipment. The exact number of parts and the decal options are not stated here.
The T-55 grew out of the development of the T-54 tank and became one of the most produced tanks in history. It served in dozens of armies all over the world and took part in countless conflicts of the second half of the twentieth century; it was also built under license, among other places in what was then Czechoslovakia. Its low silhouette, rugged construction and easy maintenance gave it an exceptionally long life.
Cut the parts from the sprues and glue them with thin cement for plastic. First assemble the running gear and the tracks, then the hull and the turret. The model is covered in a single-color protective green; you can bring the surface alive with a primer, by lightening the large areas, bringing out the details with a dry brush and with weathering — mud and dust on the running gear with pigments. Finish with a matte varnish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
