A figure of the unknown man who in 1989 in Beijing stepped into the path of an advancing column. 1:72 scale, intended for scenes and display cases.
Responsibility details are not available.
A small civilian figure in 1:72 scale, referring to the scene in Beijing in 1989: a lone man then stepped into the path of a column of armored vehicles and made it stop. The photograph of that moment is among the best-known images of the twentieth century, and the man in it remained unnamed.
On its own it is an inconspicuous figure in civilian clothes; only its surroundings give it meaning. It comes into its own in a diorama with a city street and equipment, in a small display under glass, and as a counterweight to a model of a vehicle, where the scale of a human figure immediately shows how large the machine really is. It is exactly this contrast between man and machine that is the essential thing in the scene the figure refers to.
The figure is supplied. Paints, glue, a base and other elements of a scene are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
