A set of figures of Wallachian infantry from the period of the Thirty Years' War in 1:72 scale, meant to be painted by the modeler.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Thirty Years' War of 1618 to 1648 set regular regiments side by side with numerous light units that accompanied the campaigns across the whole of central Europe. Light infantry was cheap and mobile; it was committed to fighting out in front, to securing roads and to the small war between the great clashes. It is precisely to this setting that the set of Wallachian infantry lays claim, that is, to units whose equipment was simpler than that of the regular regiments.
It is a set of figures in 1:72 scale for dioramas and combat scenes. The composition of the set, the poses of the figures and the painting guide are given on the box of the set and in the manufacturer's instructions.
Wash the surface in lukewarm water with a drop of dish soap and let it dry, and only then paint. Cut off any excess material with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the surface. With light units a more varied but earthy palette looks good: brown, gray and muted green, together with a dark glaze into the folds and a lighter cast on the edges. A uniform shade on the bases holds the scene together.
The set suits anyone interested in the Thirty Years' War and builders of scenes where light infantry is missing alongside the regular regiments. Paints, glue and bases are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
