WW2 US Tank Crew with Equipment for M8 Scott is a set of unassembled figures of an American tank crew with plenty of equipment and accessories in 1:72 scale, meant to bring models of American motorized howitzers of the Second World War to life.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is an add-on set of figures and equipment, not a vehicle model. It contains the crew of American armor of the Second World War together with a set of period accessories and stowage items with which you fill the decks, baskets and surroundings of the base model. The set is conceived so as to bring a diorama, or the model itself, to life with a combat scene.
The crews of American motorized howitzers such as the M8 Scott (a 75 mm howitzer on the chassis of the M5 Stuart light tank) operated in both the European and the Pacific theater from 1944. The soldiers wore the characteristic tanker coveralls, helmets and personal equipment; jerrycans, ammunition, tents and personal weapons were routinely piled around the vehicles. It is exactly this atmosphere that the set brings to the model.
First clean the casting residues off the figures and fit them together. A base in a suitable olive drab uniform is recommended; build the faces and hands up by layering flesh tones and glazes, and tell the equipment apart by material (leather, canvas, metal). The small accessories come out well with a fine wash and a dry patina. Choose the paints according to the modeling line you prefer.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
