The South Korean new generation KF-21 Boramae fighter as a simple snap-together model whose parts join by clicking into place. The build needs no glue and no tools and even a complete newcomer can manage it. The product comes from the 4D range by Academy.
The KF-21 is a twin-engine combat aircraft of the so-called generation four and a half, which Korean industry is developing with a foreign partner taking part. It first got into the air in the summer of 2022 and is meant to replace older machines in service step by step. The shape of its fuselage and its pair of vertical tail surfaces recall the heavy fighters of the very latest generation, but at first it carries its armament slung under the wings and on the fuselage. The word Boramae denotes a young bird of prey used for hunting.
The joints hold by clicking, so push the parts together smoothly and without levering. Anyone who wants to take the result further can knock the sprue stubs back with a fine file and run a dark shade over the joins, which brings out the divisions of the surface. The product is not meant for long and demanding refinement; it suits a quick build for one evening or a first introduction to modeling.
The package holds the parts to be assembled, and no further chemicals are needed.
