69.521 Oiled Earth Wash

Vallejo Mecha Color Oiled Earth Wash

This acrylic wash in the shade of greasy, dark earth from the Mecha Color range is ready for immediate use. It serves to bring out detail and to add realistic grime to the lower parts of mecha, science fiction and Gunpla models and of ordinary vehicles. The paint is water-based, non-toxic and odorless and comes in a 17 ml bottle with a dropper. The earthy brown tone gives the impression of soaked soil and oil, and it suits the recesses of running gear, the tracks, the fenders and anywhere that a vehicle picks up dirt.

Use

• Shake the bottle thoroughly before use and during the work.
• Apply it with a brush into recesses and onto surfaces that should look grimy; wipe the excess off with a cloth dampened with water.
• It works best on a smooth or gloss surface; the strength of the effect can be built up by applying it again.
• It thins and the tools clean up with water; it dries quickly to a matte surface.

Who it is for

For modelers who want realistic earthy grime on mecha, vehicles or dioramas without working with solvents.

Safety note: a water-thinnable acrylic, non-toxic and free of solvents. Keep out of the reach of children and ventilate while it dries.
