Vallejo Mecha Color Matt Varnish

The matte protective varnish from the Mecha Color range is a water-thinnable acrylic (acrylic-polyurethane) preparation for the final protection of painted surfaces. It is not an opaque paint but a clear finish that evens the surface out to matte and forms a firm, durable film. It comes in a bottle holding 17 ml with a dropper, is water-based, non-toxic and odorless. The matte surface suppresses reflections, evens out differing sheen between paints and is ideal as a final coat after decals have been applied and after weathering.

Use

• Shake the bottle thoroughly before use.
• It is applied with an airbrush or with a brush in thin coats over perfectly dry paint, decals or washes.
• Apply it as the final coat; the matte varnish takes down even gloss areas and removes the traces left by decals.
• It is thinned and the tools cleaned with water; it dries quickly.
