This is a modeling material, not a kit. The sheet of ABS plastic, 0.5 mm thick and in A4 format, carries a pressed relief of corrugated iron over its whole surface. It therefore saves the lengthy making of the texture by hand, and exactly the shape you need for your project can be cut from it.
A thin sheet is best cut by running a scalpel repeatedly along a ruler and then breaking it along the scored line, or with fine shears for plastic. Sand the edges down after cutting with fine sandpaper. ABS bonds well with super glue, and for larger areas a glue intended for this type of plastic can also be used; ordinary liquid cement for polystyrene may not work reliably here, so test the joint on an offcut first. Apply a filler primer before painting; it improves adhesion and at the same time brings the texture out nicely. The relief of the corrugated iron stands out with a dry brush and rusty shades applied to the crests of the corrugations.
It suits builders of dioramas and of model railroads, modelers of military vehicles and anyone who likes to make accessories themselves. The A4 format is enough for several smaller projects, and the remainder stores well flat.
Paints, glue and tools are not included in the package. When cutting with a scalpel, work on a mat and take care over safety.
