Aqueous Surfacer 500 from Gunze is a water-thinnable acrylic filling primer, or surfacer. The Aqueous range has a lower odor and is kinder to indoor work than lacquer surfacers. The number 500 marks the coarser grain, which is meant to fill deeper scratches, seams and sanding marks and to give the paint good adhesion.
It suits modelers who want to prepare the surface of a model properly and at the same time prefer a water-thinnable material with a lower odor. The coarser 500 type will be appreciated above all where more pronounced unevenness has to be filled.
Do not mix or thin it with different chemistries (lacquer and other acrylic ranges have their own thinners). Work in a well-ventilated area and protect your airways while sanding.
