The K-36L ejection seat 1:48 is a 3D printed resin replica of the K-36L ejection seat in 1:48 scale for completing the cockpit of a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set contains a 3D printed resin replica of the K-36L ejection seat in 1:48 scale. It is not a model of an aircraft but a replacement for the seat from the kit, which tends to be coarse and simplified. The print holds the definition of the harness straps, the handles and the small placards, which bring an open cockpit to life at once.
The K-36 is a Soviet and Russian series of second-generation ejection seats, renowned for its reliability even in extreme conditions of flight. Over the years several forms came about, differing in weight, equipment and intended use, and the designation L is one of them. The seats of this series have the characteristic deployable stabilizing booms and protective shields against the air blast. In an open cockpit the seat is the most conspicuous element.
First wash the 3D printed parts in warm water with a little dish soap, so that they are rid of the residue of printing resin. Cut the supports off with a sharp blade or a fine saw as close to the part as possible and sand the marks down with your airways protected. Resin does not bond with cement for polystyrene, so use cyanoacrylate glue. Lay a thin coat of primer on before painting, otherwise the paint holds poorly on a smooth print. The seat comes out best after drybrushing on the edges and after the harness straps and the handles have been painted in a different shade.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
