Kh-25ML guided missile, 1:48 is a 3D-printed resin replica of the Soviet laser-guided air-to-ground missile in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set holds a 3D-printed resin replica of the Soviet Kh-25ML air-to-ground guided missile in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory for the external stores. The print holds the thin surfaces of the fins and the detail of the seeker head, which a mold simplifies.
The Kh-25 is a Soviet air-to-ground guided missile built as a modular family, in which the seeker head on a common airframe changes and with it the way the weapon is used. The ML version homes on a reflected laser beam, so the target has to be illuminated right up to the hit. The missile was carried by attack and fighter-bomber aircraft including the Su-17, the Su-24, the Su-25 and the MiG-27. The modular arrangement let a unit choose the guidance according to the nature of the target.
Wash the 3D-printed parts in warm soapy water first, to get rid of any print resin residue. Cut the print supports off with a sharp blade or a fine saw as close to the part as you can and sand the marks away with respiratory protection. Resin does not bond with polystyrene cement, so use cyanoacrylate glue. Apply a thin coat of primer before painting, otherwise the paint will not hold well on the smooth print. Assemble and paint the armament separately and glue it to the pylon only once the varnish has dried, so that the fine surfaces do not get rubbed.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
