A resin Kh-25ML air-to-ground guided missile in 1:72 scale from the Russian brand Temp Models. The resin print manages the thin control fins as well as the intricate rear end, which a plastic mold cannot handle in a small scale. It is not an aircraft model but a separate store to be hung under the wing of a finished model.
The Kh-25 is a Soviet tactical air-to-ground missile built as a modular family: a common body is completed with different guidance sections, so one design covers several ways of acquiring a target. The letters ML mark the version with laser guidance, which homes on the reflected beam. Compared with heavier weapons the missile is lighter and an aircraft can carry more of them, which is useful against smaller targets on the battlefield.
Release the missile body from the supports on a work mat and without bending it. Sand the marks down with fine paper and wet sand, with respiratory protection. Wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water before painting. The window of the seeker head at the nose is done in a clear coat or a dark gloss. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue).
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
