Kh-25MR guided missile, 1:48 is a 3D-printed resin replica of the Soviet radio-guided air-to-ground missile in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set holds a 3D-printed resin replica of the Soviet Kh-25MR air-to-ground guided missile in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory for the external stores. The print holds the thin surfaces of the fins and the detail of the seeker head, by which the versions of the family are told apart.
The Kh-25MR is the version of the modular Soviet family of air-to-ground missiles with radio command guidance. The operator in the aircraft watches the missile after launch and steers it onto the target with commands, which requires the machine to hold its heading right up to the hit. The advantage is independence from the weather and from illuminating the target with a laser. The missile was carried by tactical aircraft of the Soviet Air Force including machines of the Su-17 series and the MiG-27.
Wash the 3D-printed parts in warm soapy water first, to get rid of any print resin residue. Cut the print supports off with a sharp blade or a fine saw as close to the part as you can and sand the marks away with respiratory protection. Resin does not bond with polystyrene cement, so use cyanoacrylate glue. Apply a thin coat of primer before painting, otherwise the paint will not hold well on the smooth print. Assemble and paint the armament separately and glue it to the pylon only once the varnish has dried, so that the fine surfaces do not get rubbed.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
