The Kh-58 anti-radiation missile in 1:72 is a printed stores accessory for models of Soviet and Russian aircraft. It is an accessory, not an airplane model.
Responsibility details are not available.
An add-on armament set in 1:72 scale from the Russian manufacturer Temp Models, printed from photopolymer. The contents are a medium-range anti-radiation missile, that is a weapon meant for destroying the radars of an air defense system. The set fills out the stores of a finished kit and does not make up an aircraft model itself.
The Kh-58 is a Soviet and Russian medium-range anti-radiation missile. Its seeker listens to the transmission of hostile radars and guides the missile onto them, so the crew can silence the defenses even before the strike package arrives. The weapon became the backbone of Soviet and later Russian missions for the suppression of enemy air defenses and was carried by specialized versions of tactical bombers and multirole aircraft.
The parts are printed from photopolymer, so thin print supports are left on them. Cut them away with a sharp scalpel or photo-etch nippers and sand the pad they leave with fine abrasive paper. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue, that is with super glue, because polystyrene cement has no effect on this material. Lay down a filler primer before painting; it will at the same time reveal any remains of the supports. Sanding is best done wet and with respiratory protection.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
