Gundam Marker Fine Edge Set is a set of marker pens with a fine tip for thin lines and crisp edges.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Fine Edge label in the name describes the shape of the point: the tip is narrower than on an ordinary pen and holds a narrow stroke. The reservoir still holds paint, which the pen passes to the surface with no further tools. Sealing with varnish or patinating is not to be looked for in it; this is drawing with paint.
A narrow point suits the places where a wide stroke would overflow the outline: color bands on a forearm, the framing of openings, the edges of shields, small markings and the lines between panels. It also serves well for correcting an outline that got away during another painting technique. It comes into its own too where applying masking tape would damage a surface already finished beneath it.
Guide the tip smoothly and without stopping in the middle of a stroke, because the paint collects into a drop where you pause. Prefer to divide a longer line into shorter sections that follow one another rather than pulling it in one long movement across the whole part. Brace the model so that your hand has support; a free hand in the air shows at once on a thin line. Set your light so that it does not shine past your hand and the whole stroke is visible.
Fine tips take a careful hand; pressure on them comes back in the form of a crushed point.
