A resin set of launchers and pylons for a Su-30SM model in 1:48 scale from the Russian brand Temp Models. These are the parts on which the missiles under the wing and under the fuselage hang and from which they are launched. A plastic kit usually simplifies them; printing in resin manages the guide rails and the lightening holes as well. It is not an aircraft kit but an armament accessory.
The Su-30SM is a multirole machine with a large number of stations on which entirely different weapons take turns: from light short-range rockets to heavy missiles against ground targets. Each of them goes with a different type of mounting. A rail launcher guides the rocket as the motor lights, while an ejector launcher first throws it clear of the airframe. The right mounting is therefore as important for faithful armament as the rocket itself.
Release the parts from the supports over a working surface. Level the mating face on abrasive paper on glass, so that no gap is left between the launcher and the pylon. Wash the resin in lukewarm soapy water before painting. Spray them separately from the airframe and fit them only once they are painted. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue).
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
